Custom Orders
Veliero specializes in custom, made-to-measure, personalized, and individually tailored garments. Because custom garments are created according to the customer's measurements, selections, specifications, and preferences, custom orders are different from standard ready-to-wear merchandise and may be subject to different cancellation, return, exchange, alteration, correction, and refund terms. When placing a custom order, you are responsible for reviewing and confirming the information, measurements, selections, specifications, and other details associated with your order before production begins. This may include fabric, color, lining, buttons, monogramming, embroidery, construction, fit, style, measurements, pockets, closures, personalization, and other options selected through the Veliero website, configurator, appointment process, or with a Veliero representative. Once a custom order has entered production, changes or cancellations may not be available because materials may have been purchased, allocated, cut, altered, or otherwise committed specifically for your garment. Any permitted change may require additional charges and additional production time. Veliero may contact you if additional information, clarification, confirmation, or approval is reasonably necessary to complete your order. Delays caused by a customer's failure to provide requested information, measurements, approvals, or other necessary details may extend the expected production or delivery time. Because custom garments are individually produced, minor variations in measurements, fit, color, texture, pattern placement, stitching, construction, or other characteristics may occur and do not necessarily constitute a defect. Veliero reserves the right to refuse or cancel a custom order when necessary because of material availability, production limitations, pricing errors, technical limitations, suspected fraud, inability to fulfill the requested specifications, or other legitimate business reasons. If Veliero cancels an order before production for a reason attributable to Veliero, any refund will be handled in accordance with applicable payment and refund terms.
Deposits & Payment
Unless otherwise stated in writing, custom orders may require a deposit or other payment before production begins. The amount and payment schedule applicable to an order will be disclosed during the ordering process, on the applicable invoice, or through another written communication from Veliero. A deposit may be required to reserve production capacity, secure materials, begin design or tailoring work, or otherwise initiate the custom-order process. Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing or required by applicable law, deposits paid toward custom orders are non-refundable once production, material procurement, or other work has begun. Payment of a deposit or other amount does not necessarily mean that the garment has entered production. Production begins when Veliero confirms that the order has been accepted and released for production. The customer is responsible for paying all amounts due under an order by the applicable payment deadline. If an invoice or payment schedule specifies multiple installments, each installment must be paid when due. Veliero may delay, suspend, or decline production, shipment, delivery, fitting, or release of a garment when an applicable payment is overdue, subject to applicable law. Prices displayed on the website are subject to change before an order is accepted. Once an order has been accepted and confirmed by Veliero, the applicable confirmed price will generally govern that order, except where a correction is required because of an obvious pricing, typographical, technical, tax, or system error or where additional customer-requested services or modifications are added. Applicable sales taxes, shipping charges, delivery charges, alteration or modification charges, customization charges, processing fees, or other disclosed charges may apply depending on the order and the customer's location. Payment processing may be performed by third-party payment providers. By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable payment provider to process the transaction according to the payment terms presented at checkout. Veliero reserves the right to require additional verification or information for transactions that appear fraudulent, unauthorized, suspicious, or otherwise inconsistent with normal purchasing activity.
Production Timing
Production and delivery estimates provided by Veliero are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates unless Veliero expressly agrees otherwise in writing. Estimated production times may vary depending on the type and complexity of the garment, fabric and material availability, customization, measurements, fitting requirements, production capacity, supplier availability, holidays, shipping, customs, weather, transportation disruptions, or other circumstances beyond Veliero's reasonable control. The production period may begin only after Veliero has received the required deposit or payment, confirmed the order, received all required measurements and specifications, obtained necessary approvals, and determined that the order is ready for production. Customer-requested changes, corrections, modifications, alterations, delayed responses, incomplete or inaccurate information, inaccurate measurements, missed appointments, or other circumstances requiring additional work may result in additional production time. Any additional time required for alterations, corrections, or modifications will not by itself constitute a cancellation, refund, reimbursement, credit, or other entitlement unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to by Veliero. Veliero is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including supplier disruptions, shortages, transportation interruptions, natural disasters, government actions, labor disruptions, customs delays, technological failures, severe weather, or other force-majeure events. If a production or delivery delay occurs, Veliero will make reasonable efforts to communicate material delays when appropriate.
Alterations, Corrections & Modifications
Veliero recognizes that garments may require alterations, adjustments, corrections, or modifications after measurements have been taken, after a garment has been constructed, after a fitting, or after the customer receives or tries on the garment. This may occur with custom-made garments as well as ready-to-wear, existing, previously purchased, previously owned, or customer-provided garments that Veliero agrees to measure, alter, tailor, modify, or otherwise work on. Any alteration, correction, adjustment, modification, replacement, reconstruction, refitting, or other additional work requested by the customer, or determined to be necessary after the original measurements, specifications, fitting, or order have been completed, may require additional time and will generally be performed at the customer's expense, including any applicable labor, materials, shipping, or other costs. Any such additional work may extend the originally estimated production, fitting, completion, or delivery time. The additional time required for an alteration, correction, adjustment, modification, or other additional work does not constitute a cancellation, refund, reimbursement, store credit, chargeback, or other entitlement. Veliero is not responsible or liable for the additional time, cost, inconvenience, or consequences associated with alterations, corrections, adjustments, or modifications, except to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited or where Veliero has expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Where an alteration, correction, or modification is required because of circumstances attributable to Veliero, or where the work is considered substantial, Veliero may, at its discretion, elect to perform the work without an additional charge, provide another remedy, or otherwise agree with the customer in writing regarding the applicable cost, timing, and resolution. Any such exception must be expressly discussed and agreed upon by Veliero and the customer and will not be implied solely because additional work is required. For garments supplied by the customer, including ready-to-wear garments, previously purchased garments, previously worn garments, vintage garments, or garments manufactured by another company, Veliero does not guarantee that every requested alteration or modification can be safely, successfully, or aesthetically completed. The condition, age, construction, fabric, previous alterations, hidden damage, deterioration, stitching, seams, linings, interfacing, buttons, zippers, or other characteristics of a customer-provided garment may affect the work that can reasonably be performed. Veliero is not responsible or liable for pre-existing damage, defects, deterioration, weaknesses, shrinkage, discoloration, improper prior alterations, manufacturing defects, or other conditions that existed before Veliero received the garment, except to the extent caused by Veliero's own negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Where a customer-provided garment is determined to be unsuitable for the requested alteration or modification, Veliero may decline to perform the requested work. If an alteration or modification reveals an underlying issue that was not reasonably apparent before work began, additional work, materials, charges, and time may be required. Veliero will make reasonable efforts to communicate material issues when practicable. Because alterations involve physically modifying a garment, the final result may differ from the customer's original expectation where limitations are imposed by the garment's construction, available seam allowance, fabric, pattern, prior alterations, or other physical characteristics.
Configurator Specifications
The Veliero online configurator may allow customers to select and customize various garment features, including fabrics, colors, linings, buttons, stitching, monograms, measurements, fit preferences, construction options, styling details, and other available specifications. The configurator is provided as a tool to assist customers in designing and specifying garments. While Veliero makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information, pricing, images, previews, descriptions, and selections displayed through the configurator are accurate, the final physical garment may differ in minor ways from digital representations. Colors, textures, patterns, and other visual elements may appear differently depending on the customer's monitor, device, browser, display settings, lighting conditions, photography, and other factors. A digital representation should therefore not be treated as an exact physical representation of the finished garment. Certain combinations of options may be unavailable, incompatible, technically impractical, or subject to additional charges. Veliero may contact the customer if a selected combination cannot reasonably be produced as configured. The customer is responsible for reviewing all selections, measurements, specifications, personalization, and other information before submitting an order. Once an order has been submitted, any permitted changes may be subject to additional charges, production limitations, and additional time. Veliero may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue configurator options, fabrics, materials, construction methods, features, or other customization options at any time, subject to applicable law and any confirmed order already accepted by Veliero. If a configurator displays an incorrect price, unavailable material, incorrect specification, technical error, or other obvious error, Veliero reserves the right to correct the error and, where appropriate, contact the customer before proceeding with production.
Intellectual Property
All content and materials made available through the Veliero website, including the Veliero name, trademarks, logos, branding, photographs, graphics, videos, designs, text, product descriptions, website layouts, software, configurator technology, user interfaces, databases, code, illustrations, trade dress, and other original materials, are owned by Veliero or used by Veliero under applicable rights or licenses and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted by Veliero in writing or applicable law, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, transmit, display, perform, sell, license, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, scrape, download for commercial purposes, or otherwise exploit Veliero's intellectual property. Your purchase of a Veliero garment does not transfer ownership of Veliero's trademarks, branding, designs, patterns, proprietary construction methods, website technology, configurator technology, photographs, or other intellectual property. You retain ownership of intellectual property that you independently own and lawfully provide to Veliero, subject to the rights and licenses necessary for Veliero to use that material to fulfill your order or provide requested services. By submitting photographs, artwork, logos, designs, text, monograms, trademarks, or other materials to Veliero, you represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, and authority to provide those materials and authorize Veliero to use them for purposes of fulfilling your order. You grant Veliero a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, transmit, and otherwise process customer-provided materials solely as reasonably necessary to manufacture, customize, fulfill, service, support, or otherwise complete your order, unless otherwise agreed in writing. You are responsible for ensuring that materials you provide to Veliero do not infringe or violate the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights of any third party.
Website Use & Customer Responsibility
You use the Veliero website, configurator, customer portal, account features, communications, and other online services at your own discretion and subject to these Terms and applicable law. You are responsible for using the website and information obtained through it appropriately and for exercising reasonable judgment when making purchasing, measurement, customization, appointment, payment, or other decisions. You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide to Veliero through the website is accurate, complete, current, and authorized for use. Veliero is not responsible for errors, delays, losses, or other consequences resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unauthorized information provided by you, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, passwords, devices, and access to your account and for notifying Veliero promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or accessed without authorization. You agree not to use the website in a manner that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of another person or entity, interferes with the operation or security of the website, attempts to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts, introduces malicious code, scrapes or extracts information through unauthorized automated means, or otherwise abuses the website or its services. Nothing in this section makes you responsible for circumstances caused by Veliero's own conduct where such responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Veliero and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, affiliates, suppliers, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, data, or anticipated savings, arising out of or relating to your use of the website, purchase or use of a product or service, delay, alteration, cancellation, inability to use the website, or any other matter relating to Veliero. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Veliero's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a particular order, transaction, product, service, or these Terms will not exceed the amount actually paid by the customer to Veliero for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms and your relationship with Veliero will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require the application of another jurisdiction's laws, except to the extent that applicable federal law or mandatory consumer-protection laws of another jurisdiction require otherwise. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Veliero website, an order, product, service, or relationship with Veliero will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in California, subject to applicable law and any mandatory rights a consumer may have to bring a claim in another jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory rights or protections provided by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the consumer resides where those rights cannot lawfully be waived or overridden by contract. If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Shatnez Policy
At Veliero, we respect the importance of Shatnez observance and understand that certain customers require their garments to be inspected in accordance with Jewish law. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Veliero does not represent or warrant that any garment, fabric, lining, interfacing, thread, or other component used in a garment is free of Shatnez. Because Shatnez can involve combinations of wool and linen in materials that may not be readily apparent, customers who observe the laws of Shatnez are responsible for having their garment professionally inspected by a qualified Shatnez laboratory or expert before wearing it. Customer Responsibility: If you observe the laws of Shatnez, please notify your Veliero representative before placing your order whenever possible. We will do our best to accommodate Shatnez-related requests and provide available information regarding the fabrics and materials used in your garment. However, unless Veliero has specifically confirmed in writing that a particular garment has been inspected and certified as Shatnez-free, the garment should be inspected by a qualified Shatnez professional before being worn. If Shatnez testing is requested: The customer is responsible for the cost of testing unless otherwise agreed in writing. Testing should be performed by a qualified Shatnez laboratory or specialist. If testing identifies Shatnez, Veliero will work with the customer, where reasonably possible, to determine whether the affected material can be removed or replaced. Any alterations or modifications required as a result of Shatnez testing may be subject to additional charges. Veliero cannot guarantee that every garment can be modified to eliminate Shatnez. For custom-made garments, customers should inform their Veliero representative of any Shatnez requirements before fabric selection and production begin. This gives us the best opportunity to select appropriate materials and construction methods. Important: A fabric described as "wool," "linen-free," "natural," "synthetic," or similar does not by itself constitute a Shatnez certification. Disclaimer: Veliero is a custom clothing company and is not a Shatnez laboratory, rabbinical authority, or halachic certifying organization. Information provided by Veliero regarding fabrics or garment construction should not be considered a determination of halachic Shatnez status. For questions regarding whether a garment may be worn according to Jewish law, customers should consult a qualified Shatnez professional or their rabbinic authority. By purchasing a garment from Veliero, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this Shatnez Policy.
Gift Cards
Veliero gift cards (“Gift Cards”) represent prepaid value that may be used toward eligible purchases of Veliero products and services, subject to these Terms and any additional terms disclosed at the time of purchase or issuance. Gift Cards may be purchased through Veliero or through an authorized Veliero sales channel and may be issued in physical or electronic form. Gift Cards may be used only for eligible purchases from Veliero and may not be used to purchase another Gift Card, Store Credit, Promotional Credit, or other stored-value product unless expressly permitted by Veliero. Gift Cards are not intended to function as credit cards, debit cards, bank accounts, or general-purpose payment cards. The available balance of a Gift Card may be applied toward eligible purchases until the available balance has been fully used, subject to applicable law. If the total purchase amount exceeds the available Gift Card balance, the remaining balance may be paid using another payment method accepted by Veliero. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, Gift Cards may not be combined with other forms of credit in a manner prohibited by the applicable offer or transaction terms. Gift Card expiration dates, if any, are subject to applicable federal, state, and local law. Veliero will not enforce an expiration date, restriction, fee, or other term applicable to a Gift Card to the extent that doing so would violate applicable law. For Gift Cards subject to federal gift-card requirements, underlying funds generally may not expire earlier than five years from the date the Gift Card was issued or the date funds were last loaded, as applicable, and additional disclosure requirements may apply. Because California law imposes additional restrictions on gift certificates sold in California, including restrictions concerning expiration dates and cash redemption, California law will control where applicable. If an expiration date appears on a Gift Card, that date must be read together with the applicable law governing the Gift Card. Where applicable law requires the underlying funds to remain available beyond the stated card expiration date, Veliero will provide the remedy required by law. Gift Cards may be redeemed only for eligible Veliero products or services and may be subject to product, service, appointment, or transaction restrictions disclosed at the time of purchase or redemption. Gift Cards may not be redeemed for cash except where required by applicable law. Where applicable law requires cash redemption or replacement of a Gift Card, Veliero will comply with those requirements. Customers must treat their Gift Card and any associated card number, redemption code, PIN, QR code, or electronic credentials as they would cash. Veliero is not responsible for unauthorized use of a Gift Card resulting from loss, theft, disclosure, unauthorized access, or failure to protect the Gift Card or its associated credentials, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law. If you believe a Gift Card has been lost, stolen, compromised, or used without authorization, you should contact Veliero as soon as reasonably possible. Veliero may request reasonable information necessary to verify ownership, the Gift Card balance, or an unauthorized-use claim. Veliero will not impose dormancy, inactivity, or service fees on Gift Cards except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law and properly disclosed as required by law. Federal law places restrictions on inactivity and service fees for covered gift cards, including requirements concerning inactivity and disclosures. Gift Cards are not refundable for cash except where required by applicable law. If a purchase made using a Gift Card is eligible for a refund, return, adjustment, or other remedy, Veliero may restore the applicable amount to the original Gift Card or provide another form of credit or refund as required or permitted by applicable law and the applicable transaction terms.
Store Credits
Veliero may issue store credits (“Store Credits”) to customers in connection with eligible returns, adjustments, customer-service resolutions, order cancellations, exchanges, alterations, corrections, promotional accommodations, or other circumstances determined by Veliero. Store Credits are different from purchased Gift Cards and are issued by Veliero rather than purchased by the customer as prepaid funds. Store Credits may be applied toward eligible purchases of Veliero products and services, subject to any restrictions communicated when the Store Credit is issued. If the purchase amount exceeds the available Store Credit balance, the remaining amount may be paid using another payment method accepted by Veliero. Store Credits may not be used to purchase Gift Cards, other Store Credits, Promotional Credits, or other stored-value products unless Veliero expressly permits such use. Store Credits may have an expiration date where permitted by applicable law and where the applicable expiration terms have been properly disclosed to the customer when the Store Credit is issued. The expiration period and any applicable restrictions will be determined according to the terms provided when the Store Credit is issued and the laws applicable to that particular Store Credit. Veliero will not allow a Store Credit to expire, be forfeited, or otherwise become unavailable where doing so would violate applicable law. If applicable law requires a Store Credit to remain available for a particular period, prohibits expiration, or provides another consumer protection, that law will control. Store Credits have no cash value except where applicable law requires otherwise. Store Credits may not be redeemed for cash, transferred, sold, exchanged, or converted into a Gift Card unless expressly permitted by Veliero or required by applicable law. Store Credits are intended for use by the customer to whom they were issued unless Veliero expressly authorizes their transfer. Veliero may require reasonable verification of the customer's identity, account, order, or transaction before issuing or redeeming a Store Credit. A Store Credit may be subject to restrictions based on the reason it was issued. For example, a Store Credit may be limited to a particular order, product, service, transaction, customer account, or period of time. Any material restrictions applicable to a Store Credit will be disclosed when the credit is issued or otherwise communicated to the customer. When a refund, adjustment, or other remedy is provided in the form of Store Credit, the Store Credit will be subject to the terms communicated when it was issued. If a customer purchases merchandise using Store Credit and subsequently becomes entitled to a refund, Veliero may return the eligible amount to the applicable Store Credit or otherwise provide the remedy required by the applicable return, refund, or consumer-protection rules. Veliero may cancel or revoke a Store Credit that was issued in error, obtained through fraud, obtained through unauthorized activity, created through a technical or administrative error, or issued as a result of activity that violates applicable terms, subject to applicable law. Veliero will not revoke or cancel a Store Credit where doing so would violate a customer's non-waivable legal rights.
Promotional Credits
Veliero may occasionally issue promotional credits (“Promotional Credits”) as part of promotions, marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, referral programs, customer-service accommodations, special offers, rewards, contests, events, or other promotional activities. Promotional Credits are promotional benefits and are not purchased by the customer. Promotional Credits may be available only to customers who satisfy the eligibility requirements of the applicable promotion or offer. Eligibility requirements may include minimum purchase amounts, specific products or services, customer-account requirements, geographic restrictions, promotional periods, invitation requirements, referral requirements, or other conditions stated when the Promotional Credit is offered. The value, redemption conditions, and limitations applicable to a Promotional Credit will be communicated when the Promotional Credit is issued or when the applicable promotion is presented. Promotional Credits may not be exchanged for cash and may not be treated as purchased monetary value unless applicable law requires otherwise. Promotional Credits may have an expiration date, provided that the expiration date and applicable terms are permitted by law and properly disclosed when the Promotional Credit is issued or offered. A Promotional Credit may expire at the end of the promotional period or on the specific expiration date stated in the applicable offer. Where applicable law prohibits expiration or provides additional rights concerning a Promotional Credit, those legal requirements will control. Because promotional programs may be subject to different legal treatment than purchased Gift Cards, the expiration terms applicable to a Promotional Credit may differ from those applicable to a purchased Gift Card. Promotional Credits may be limited to specific products, services, customers, locations, transactions, or promotional periods. Unless otherwise stated in the applicable offer, Promotional Credits may not be redeemed for cash, sold, transferred, exchanged for another form of credit, used to purchase Gift Cards, used to purchase Store Credits, combined with other promotional offers, or applied toward excluded products, services, fees, taxes, shipping, or other charges. Any applicable restrictions will be disclosed in the promotional offer or at the time the Promotional Credit is issued. Where a Promotional Credit is eligible for use on a purchase, the Promotional Credit will be applied according to the terms of the applicable promotion. If the purchase exceeds the value of the Promotional Credit, the remaining amount may be paid using another payment method accepted by Veliero. Promotional Credits generally cannot be used to create or increase a cash balance or other redeemable monetary value. Veliero may cancel, revoke, or invalidate a Promotional Credit where it was issued in error, obtained through fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, manipulation of a promotion, violation of promotional terms, or other improper conduct, subject to applicable law. Veliero may also discontinue a promotional program prospectively, provided that doing so does not unlawfully interfere with rights that have already vested or been earned under applicable law or the applicable promotional terms. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Promotional Credits are separate from purchased Gift Cards and Store Credits. A Promotional Credit does not increase the cash value of a Gift Card or Store Credit and does not convert into a Gift Card or Store Credit merely because it is displayed within a customer's account or applied to an order.
